Brand New Slots Released in August 2015

We have already reported on the slots that were released over the course of July, with developers like Realtime Gaming, Net Entertainment and Betsoft all pushing out new releases (some more noteworthy than others). There are many developers out there though, which creates a constant stream of new slots. Not all of these are worth playing and some are there purely to make up the numbers, but there are some gems to be uncovered.

Microgaming

This is a brand that everyone reading this article will probably recognize. Microgaming were the first to create online slots and they have also created more of these games than anyone else. They usually release them at a rate of three or four per month, so we were surprised to find out they hadn’t released any new titles in July. Perhaps in an effort to make up for that, they have released the Bridesmaids slot this month, which is based on the film of the same name. This 40 pay-line slot, which uses many images from the hit comedy, has a huge jackpot of over 100,000 coins. Whether you enjoyed the film or not, this is worth a play.

Rival

Rival are developers that don’t always get the attention and the praise they deserve. They don’t exactly work in the shadows, as they are greatly respected by those in the know, but they are far from the spotlight. This month Rival released Tycoon Towers, a fun little slot that has 50 pay-lines, wilds, scatters, free spins and more. It is not their best, but it is one of the best releases so far this month and of all the games in the article, Tycoon Towers was the one we enjoyed the most.

Odobo

Hardly one of the most well-known developers, even the most experienced players have probably never heard of Odobo. Still, that is no reason to dismiss them, so when they released the Champion of Champions slot this month, we gave it a go. This is a 20 pay-line slot with an interface that is a little different from the norm. The game itself is not different though and there isn’t much in the way of uniqueness here. Still, it’s a fun little game with a nice jackpot.

Genesis

What do you do if you want to create a slot based on Jurassic World, but don’t have the license or the cash/inclination to acquire it? Well, if you’re Genesis then you create a slot based loosely on the film, stick the word “Dinosaur” in the title and hope that you can still cash-in on the trend. Dinosaur Adventure is not a great slot. It is a little rushed, devoid of any true originality. There is no bonus round, but there are free spins and there is also a small jackpot available. The fact that Dinosaur Adventure has over 1000 pay-lines is the only thing really going for it; you’ll probably want to give this one a miss.
